I don't have a problem with challenging thought. Even hypothetical philosophical thought. But this was pretty frustrating to watch. The mockery of Christianity was too blatant.
They are 7-0, and that in and of itself is, again, a great accomplishment for any team. But I'm writing it here because I want it recorded in writing: I hope I'm wrong, but I predict they lose at least 2 of their remaining 5 games. I venture so far as to say that NONE of their current wins have been because of good football - some simply because of luck. We're simply going to get criticized even more for being ranked so high so early - and after they choke and lose people are going to be asking, "Iowa? Why were they ranked in the top 10?"
I'm not a super-fan of Matt Maher (though I'm sure he's a great guy) :) and most probably don't know that he's the real author of "Your Grace is Enough." Here's his latest that I think is just awesome:
I woke up in darkness Surrounded by silence Oh where, oh where have I gone? I woke to reality Losing its grip on me
Oh where, where have I gone? 'Cause I can see the light Before I see the sunrise You called and You shouted
Broke through my deafness Now I'm breathing in and breathing out I'm alive again You shattered my darkness
Washed away my blindness Now I'm breathing in and breathing out I'm alive again Late have I loved You You waited for me, I searched for You
What took me so long? I was looking outside As if Love would ever want to hide I'm finding I was wrong
'Cause I feel the wind Before it hits my skin 'Cause I want You, Yes I want You I need You, and I'll do
Whatever I have to just to get through 'Cause I love You, Yeah I love You
"If you find me short in things, impute that to my love of brevity. If you find me besides the truth in anything, impute that to my infirmity. But if you find anything here that serves to your furtherance and joy of the faith, impute that to the mercy of God bestowed on you and me. Yours to serve you with what little I have." John Bunyan
